Zone Level Science Fair

Introductions

Five students from each school will form a team to participate in the Zone Level Science Fair. Two months prior to the event, students will begin their training using the six science experiment books developed by ASTI for SFYC. During the Zone Level Science Fair competition, students will be given two hands-on experiments to complete on the spot. Each experiment will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to finish, and all experiments will be based on their syllabus. ASTI will provide all the apparatus and materials needed for the experiments.

My school is SKM, so can I add Year 6 students to my ZLSF team?

Yes u can, but you need to write a letter and get approval to Working Group Committee before you add the student in the team.

Can I register a list of students during the student registration and make replacements on the event day?

No, you cannot replace the students. The students must be same as per registration list.

Can i add non Malaysian student in the team?

Yes, you may add non-Malaysian students to the team. Please use a passport number instead of a MyKid

How many students can we have in a ZLSF team, minimum and maximum?

A team must have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 5.

Can I bring a birth certificate on the event day? My student does not have a MyKid.

We prefer MyKid, but a birth certificate is fine.

Where can I get all the up-to-date details of SFYC?

For SFYC, we have a WhatsApp group for each state. All the details will be shared there, up to date. To join the group, do text your state and join SFYC group send to 014-712 4217.
