Students from Standard 1 to 6 are eligible to participate in the SLSF. For each standard, a well-guided experimental book with 10 experiments in Tamil and English based on the science syllabus for the respective standard is provided to the students.
Students can participate in the SLSF either individually or in groups, depending on the organizing method chosen by the respective school.
ASTI will award prizes to the winners and provide electronic certificates to all participants of the school-level science fair. Schools can organize the SLSF on their preferred date within the timeline proposed by ASTI. Teachers have been trained on how to conduct the SLSF, and simple judging criteria for evaluating and finalizing the winners are also provided.
On the day of the SLSF, students will exhibit, demo, and present their chosen experiments to judges and the public. The winners will receive medals and certificates, while all participants will be given electronic certificates.
Schools are invited to submit a 2-minute video showcasing their SLSF event, along with the SLSF Completion Report. We will recognize and reward one outstanding school from each state for executing the BEST SLSF within the given time frame during the National Level Science Fair 2025.
How to Participate: Schools interested in participating can submit a 2-minute video showcasing their SLSF (optional). Upload your video to YouTube or Drive and share the link in the provided space on the Google Form. Ensure that the video is accessible for review. Submissions must be completed within the given deadline.
