The law restores <strong>100% bonus depreciation<\/strong>, now made permanent, for qualifying equipment\u2014including used trucks\u2014<strong>placed in service after January 19, 2025, and on or before the last day of the tax year<\/strong>. Along with expanded <strong>Section 179 expensing<\/strong> and improved <strong>interest deductibility<\/strong>, this change offers substantial, immediate cash-flow benefits to businesses investing in their fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s Changed in 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the <strong><em>One Big Beautiful Bill Act<\/em><\/strong>, signed into law on <strong>July 4, 2025<\/strong>, Congress permanently restored <strong>100% bonus depreciation<\/strong>\u2014reversing the scheduled phase-out from prior years. The provision applies to <strong>eligible assets placed in service after January 19, 2025, and on or before the end of the taxpayer\u2019s tax year<\/strong>.
